Existing Dwellings

A BER Assessor officially registered with Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) will visit the home to examine the wall, roof and floor dimensions; window and door sizes, type and orientation; the type of construction and levels of insulation, ventilation and air tightness; the systems and controls for supplying heat and hot water, and lighting. The assessment will be carried out according to the procedures laid down by SEI. The Assessor will process this information to provide the client with an official BER Certificate, as well as an Advisory Report which will help the client to identify how the energy performance of the home might be improved. At the client’s request, we can go beyond this to provide detailed, practical advice on how to improve the dwelling’s energy rating in the form of an individualised Potential Improvements Report.
